Finley leads Ice past Warriors



Jack Finley scored for the fifth consecutive game and added an assist to lead the visiting Winnipeg Ice to a 5-3 triumph over the Moose Jaw Warriors in WHL playoff action before 2,564 fans at Mosaic Place.

The Ice lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal 3-1.

Mikey Milne, with his eighth of the playoffs, Owen Pederson, with his fifth, Matt Savoie, with his fourth and Cole Muir, with his first, also scored for the Winnipeggers, who can clinch a series win with a victory in Game 5 Friday at Wayne Fleming Arena.

Game time is 7 p.m.

Moose Jaw sniper Jagger Firkus had his fifth and sixth goals while Majid Kaddoura added his second for the hosts.

Jackson Unger made 26 saves in the Warriors net. Ice goaltender Daniel Hauser made 30 saves.

The winner of the Winnipeg-Moose Jaw series will play the Edmonton Oil Kings in the Eastern Conference final. Edmonton completed a four-game sweep of the Red Deer Rebels with a 4-2 road win Wednesday.

Moose Jaw scored on its lone power-play chance. The Ice went 1-for-4.
